Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is a 1:1 art lesson like?
It’s a private, fully personalized session where we focus entirely on your goals or curiosity- whether that’s mastering technique, experimenting with new media, or simply having fun. You set the pace and theme; I guide you step-by-step, offering feedback and demonstrations tailored just for you.
-
What ages do you teach?
I welcome students ages 4 - 104! Lessons are tailored to each person’s skill level, interests, and pace, whether they’re just scribbling or prepping a college portfolio.
-
Where do lessons take place?
Right in the comfort of your own home. For each lesson, I will help you set up a mini-studio in your kitchen, living room, patio, or anywhere you feel inspired. I travel to St. Simons Island, Jekyll Island, Brunswick, and the surrounding Golden Isles.
-
What if I’m not “artistic”?
You don’t need prior experience! My lessons are all about exploration and enjoyment. I break down each technique step-by-step and adapt to your comfort level, so you’ll be surprised at what you can create!
-
What materials are needed?
Before our lesson, I will determine what materials are needed for the type of art you’d like to try out. Some students prefer to use their own (totally fine) or I can provide everything for an additional fee: paints, brushes, paper/canvas, palettes, even the tablecloth! If you have favorite tools or want to work in a specific medium (watercolor, acrylic, pastel, etc.), just let me know.

How do I book or reschedule a lesson?
Simply fill out the booking form on this website, or email/text me directly. Need to move your session? No problem- just give at least a 24-hour notice and we’ll find a new time that works. Payment is still required if you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment.
